GREEN POLICY

We are committed to continue to minimise our environmental impact and improve our environmental performance so we can run in a more energy efficient way.


We hope to reduce our energy use annually.

  • Insulation

    All the windows and doors are double glazed throughout the entire building and the loft is thoroughly insulated.

  • Electricity

    We keep lighting in all public areas to a minimum overnight, please feel free to turn main lights on if you wish to use them and turn them back off once you head to your room for the night, thank you.


    We have replaced 90% of guest bedroom, hall, guest lounge and dining room lamps with energy saving bulbs which has reduce energy output from 40w to 4w.

  • Water

    We are working to reduce the consumption of water within Crolinnhe and reduce discharges.


    Tap water is suitable for drinking water and is provided in all guest bedrooms.

  • Recycling

    We recycle paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, plastic bags and food. Any electrical equipment that is no longer working is taken to the local recycling centre.

  • Food and Drink

    We purchase the freshest seasonal ingredients that are available locally to find quality produce whilst reducing our carbon footprint.


    All meat, fish and eggs are produced in Scotland and we use Fairtrade products where possible.
