What to see and do

Fort William is regarded as The Outdoor Capital of the UK providing walking, climbing, cycling, boating, golf, fishing, steam trains and touring. Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain overlooks the town and has an annual race to the summit in September. The Highland Games and Gathering takes place in July. There's an excellent variety of shops, hotels and restaurants, perfect places to eat and most with evening entertainment of a Scottish nature. We will be happy to make recommendations.
